The Secrets
of Whidbey Island

The Secrets are a band based on Whidbey Island, Washington. We began as a collaboration between songwriters David Licastro and Alicia Elliott, David being a seasoned lead guitarist and vocalist, playing professionally in multiple bands, and Alicia singing away to her rhythm guitar. After the first gig, Russell Sparkman offered his hand at playing bass, and finally, David Malony,  a professional drummer joined the band with his signature versatility on kit and hand drums.

Our vibe is indie/folk/rock with a hint of bluegrass and blues thrown in. Our sound has been likened to Civil Wars…or, Alison Kraus/Robert Plant….you get the idea. Tight vocal harmonies  with beautiful guitar solos. Though most of our repertoire is original, we do take on cover tunes ranging from Subdudes to Mindy Smith, from Mark Knopfler to Peggy Lee.
